CCI team calls on Advisor Bhatnagar

JAMMU, Aug 16: Arun Gupta, President Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) along with office bearers Rajeev Gupta, Joint Vice President, Manish Gupta, Secretary General and Rajesh Gupta, Secretary called on Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha in his office chambers here today.
Gupta apprised the advisor that there is urgent need to redefine the land types as large chunks of land in Jammu have been declared as ‘Gair Mumkin Khad’ by Revenue Department. Registration and Construction activities on these lands are barred.
He appraised him that there is the need to redefine the ‘Kism’ of these lands and a policy should be formulated to allow the commercial and construction activities on those lands, so that the dream of the Prime Minister of India that maximum investment should come in Jammu and Kashmir be fulfilled.
He further apprised the Advisor that to reduce the rush of patients on Government Medical College Jammu, the emergency services along with HDU (High Dependency Units) be started in Gandhi Nagar and Sarwal Hospitals so that the patients from different areas can get emergency services in a better way.
On smart meters, Gupta pointed out that the Consumers are complaining that smart meters are running very fast as compared to digital meters installed earlier and there is also drastic increase in power bills after the installation of the smart meters.
The advisor assured that the issues raised by the Chamber will be considered and the issues pertaining to other departments will be taken up with the higher concerned authorities.
