JAMMU, Aug 16: In view of the forthcoming annual Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra commencing from August 18, Vinay Kumar, SSP Poonch, CO 38 Bn CRPF and concerned Army CO of Poonch Brigade reviewed the security, access control and other allied arrangements viz, water supply, power arrangements, langer stalls, accommodation, parking, traffic, venue security, contingency arrangements etc at Shri Dashnami Akhara, GDC Ground Poonch and other lodgment centres.
Other stakeholders including Tahir Mustafa Malik, ADC Poonch, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi, ACR Poonch, Narinder Mohan Suri DEPO (Yatra officer), Basant Ram Pradhan Shri Dashnami Akhara Poonch, Nishu Gupta, President VHP Unit Poonch, Davindra Singh 2 I/C CRPF 38 Bn also accompanied the SSP Poonch during the review visit.
The SSP Poonch took stock of the final arrangements and imparted necessary directions to the concerned officers/stakeholders. Various issues were discussed at length with the Yatra management committee and the same were addressed on spot.
Mohd Shafiq, Dy.SP DAR Poonch and Afrat Hussain, Dy.SP Hqrs Poonch among other officers were also present on the occasion. The SSP Poonch stressed upon all stakeholders to deliver their best for successful conduct of the annual Yatra. He emphasised on coordination and synergy as the key to smooth conduct of Yatra event.
