Samba police arrests 2 notorious bovine smugglers, rescues animals

SAMBA, Aug 16 : Under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, police has arrested two notorious bovine smugglers, rescued bovine animals and seized vehicle used for transportation of bovines in the jurisdiction of Police Post (PP), Rakh Amb Talli falling under Police Station (PS), Samba.
The arrested notorious bovine smugglers have been identified as Teg Ali son of Qasim Din of Chak Dhota district Kathua and Faroz Din, son of Ashek Ali of Manjla district Udhampur.
A case FIR No.195/2023 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Samba through Police Post Rakh Amb Talli.
The bovine smugglers have been arrested by a police team headed by in charge Police Post (PP), Rakh Amb Talli, PSI, Davinder Singh under the supervision of SHO, Police Station Samba, Rajeshwar Singh, DySP, Garu Ram and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh said that total 84 bovine smugglers have been arrested by Samba police in past seven months after the launch of special drive, 66 FIRs have been registered against bovine smugglers, 56 vehicles used for bovine smuggling have been seized and 653 bovine animals have been rescued in Samba district.
