JAMMU, Aug 17: A motorcyclist was injured in a road accident in Akhnoor area near here today.
The injured was identified as Pawan Kumar, son of Bhagat Ram, resident of Hamirpur village of Khour area.
The mishap took place when a car of Swift make bearing registration number JK02AB-4104 hit the motorcycle bearing registration number JK02CU-9267. After accident, driver of the erring car left his vehicle on the road and escaped.
Police has registered a case in this regard under sections 279 and 337 of IPC and started investigations and attempts were also being made to arrest the erring driver of the car.
