More organizations celebrate Independence Day

JAMMU, Aug 17: More organizations in Jammu and Kashmir celebrated the 77th Independence Day and hoisted National Flag.
Government Middle School Barnai celebrated the 77th Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. Zonal Education Officer, Jammu, Sushila Sharma was chief guest and she hoisted the National Flag. VEC members Seva Dass Digra, Mangat Ram Gupta, Avneet Gupta, Veer Singh and Neha Gupta also witnessed the programme.
Army Public School, Akhnoor celebrated the 77th Independence Day with great patriotic fervour and gaiety. The flag hoisting ceremony was performed by the guest of honour Major Bharat Chandani and this was followed by National Anthem recitation and release of Tricolour balloons into the sky. Principal of the School Geeta Devi talked about the way our brave freedom fighters sacrificed their lives, happiness and families so that we could enjoy freedom. Major Bharat Chandani emphasized on the need of every person to be a patriot.
GDC Billawar celebrated 77th Independence Day with zeal and enthusiasm. National Flag hoisting ceremony was followed by cultural programmes. Principal of the College, Dr. Alka Sharma gave the message of unity and strength and raised the slogan of ‘Jai Hind’ which filled the atmosphere with nationalist emotions.
Yemberzal Foundation (YF), an organization involved in preserving the age old diverse culture of Jammu and Kashmir celebrated Independence Day at Hindu Education Society. YF president, Bihari Kak urged upon the youth to work hard in their respective fields for the sake of progress and property of entire society.
Government Higher Secondary School Inharrah, Bhalessa, Doda celebrated 77th Independence Day with zeal and fervour. The National Flag was hoisted by Principal, Rameshwar Sharma and this was followed by National Anthem recitation.
Government Higher Secondary School Keri, Zone Bhalwal celebrated the 77th Independence Day. Principal of the School, Razia along with Sarpanch and locals of nearby areas hoisted the National Flag.
GGHSS Canal Road celebrated the 77th Independence Day wherein Principal of the School, Aneeta Koul unfurled the National Flag.
Government HSS Khanna Chhargal in Zone Gandhi Nagar celebrated 77th Independence Day. The National Flag was hoisted by DDC Nagrota Dansal, Shameem Begum, Principal, Dharmendar Kumar and Sarpanch of the Panchayat, Kirpal Singh along with senior citizens of the village.
The 77th Independence Day was celebrated at Government High School Pingar (Ramnagar). Panchyat Ex-Chairman Sandokhu Ram, HM Hem Raj, Sudesh Sharma and Panch Mangat Ram hoisted the National Flag.
Bhartiya Group of colleges celebrated 77th Independence Day wherein chairperson of College Madhu Khajuria unfurled the Tricolour.
The 77th Independence Day was celebrated at Kendriya Vidyalaya Nagrota and the National Flag was hoisted by Incharge Principal, Rajnibala. Many cultural programmes were also organized on this occasion.
On Independence Day, GDC Dudu Basantgarh organized an event on theme ‘Veeron Ko Vandan’. Mangat Ram, Suram Chand and Muzaffar Hussain were specially invited from Basantgarh area on the occasion.
Prof. Anirudh Sharma appreciated the services rendered by these retired army personnel. He explained how soldiers protect the country from internal as well as from external hostile enemy of the country.
Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Welfare Society celebrated the 77th Independence Day at its both schools—V.K Sarvodaya Primary School, Trikuta Nagar and V.K Sarvodaya Middle School Rajeev Nagar Narwal.
Rashmi Sharma, president V.K Welfare Society was chief guest on the occasion. Sukriti Choudhary, joint secretary of the Society presented welcome address. Students of both the schools presented patriotic songs and biography of Late Padam Shree Prof. Ved Kumari Ghai. Dr. Ram Pratap was special guest while Dr. Richa, deputy secretary of the Society sang a patriotic song. Bharat Bhushan, working president, Kamal Sharma, member, Principal Yogita Bakshi, Principal Vandana Saini and staff members were also present on the occasion.
Press Club Udhampur (PCU) celebrated 77th Independence Day and National Flag was hoisted at Domail Chowk, Udhampur by President Press Club Udhampur, Pardeep Bakshi along with other Club members.
The 77th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Swaran Vihar Colony and the National Flag was unfurled by Kapil Chib, JMC Councillor and S.N Raina, social activist.
Chenab Valley Power Projects (P) Ltd. (A Joint Venture of NHPC Limited and JKSPDC Limited) celebrated the 77th Independence Day. Hasan Nadeem, Managing Director hoisted the National Flag at its corporate office, Jammu & congratulated the employees and their families on Independence Day.
Independence Day was celebrated at office of NGO National Incredible Literacy Mission (NILM), Roop Nagar Jammu with great enthusiasm. Thakur K.D Kurhan, chairman NILM unfurled the National Flag. Similarly, Independence Day was celebrated at Zonal Office of NILM at Bantalab where Rakeshwar Singh Kurhan, Project Director hoisted National Flag.
Parivartan (Change We Need), an NGO celebrated the 77th Independence Day with underprivileged children at Salaria Enclave Sector 21 Dwarka, New Delhi. Romi Sharma, President of Parivartan NGO said: “Our underprivileged children are the torchbearers of tomorrow and it’s our responsibility to imbue them with a sense of pride in their heritage.”
Tehsil Administration Pargwal celebrated 77th Independence Day with great enthusiasm in the premises of Government Higher Secondary School Pargwal in collaboration with Army, BSF and schools of the area. Chairperson Block Development Council Pargwal, Nisha Kumari unfurled the National Flag.
Government Middle School Sajwal celebrated Independence Day with patriotic fervour and zeal. Sarpanch Bopinder Singh Manhas unfurled the National Flag and this was followed by singing of the National Anthem by the students of the School.
Independence Day was also celebrated in the premises of Gandharv Army School Pargwal with patriotic fervour wherein the National Flag was unfurled by the chief guest.
Independence Day was celebrated in Durga Nagar Sector-1 with great enthusiasm. A grand function was organized by All Displaced Kashmiri United Forum, Durga Nagar Welfare Committee and Durga Mandir Prabhandhak Committee wherein people in large numbers participated. National Flag was hoisted, saluted amidst singing National Anthem. P.L Swadeshi, Prof. G L Koul, P.N Raina and others lauded the services of the great martyrs.
Independence Day was celebrated by retired police personnel in Retirees Police Office Gandhi Nagar. National Flag was hoisted Karanjit Singh (DSP retd), president Retirees Police League.
On Independence Day National Flay hoisting ceremony was performed by Sham Lal Basson, JMC Councillor of Ward no. 48 at Govt Boys Middle School Gorkh Nagar Bahu Fort Jammu.
On 77th Independence Day the National Flag was unfurled by Shadi Lal Pandita, president Jagti (JTC) Soan Kashmir Front at Jagti Township Nagrota.
HDFC Bank Bhaderwah and Doda branches post-celebrated 77th Independence Day with students of Government schools. A team of HDFC Bank Bhaderwah including Muthair Ahmed, Junaid Bin Shoket, Ubaid Ramzan, Mohd Irshad and others visited Govt High School Nichlathara Bhaderwah and celebrated National Day with students.
All J&K Scheduled Castes Welfare Association Jammu celebrated the Independence Day at Janipur wherein Om Bhall, ex-president of the Association hoisted the National Flag.
Jamaat Ahmadiyya Jammu celebrated the 77th Independence Day and the National Flag was hoisted by Gopal Mahajan, JMC Councillor of Ward number 5.
Guru Nabha Dass Samaj Kalyan Parishad J&K celebrated Independence Day at its headquarter in Old Rehari and the National Flag was also hoisted there.
Govt High School Sagoon celebrated Independence Day & National Flag was hoisted by Nasreen Jan, Headmaster alongwith Sarpanch Ashwani Kumar.
