17 Machail Mata pilgrims injured in road accident

UDHAMPUR, Aug 17: Seventeen Machail Mata pilgrims from Jammu and Samba were injured when a minibus carrying them skidded off the road near Modi Ground at Battal Ballian on the National Highway, here late last night.
The injured were rushed to District Hospital Udhampur where four of them were referred to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu because of serious injuries and for advanced treatment.
The accident took place last night at 11.30 pm when the minibus, bearing registration number JK02AK-9277, was on way from Machail to Jammu. Driver of the vehicle lost control over wheels resulting into the accident and injuries to the pilgrims travelling in the minibus.
The injured were rushed to District Hospital Udhampur where five of them were referred to GMC Hospital Jammu for advanced treatment. Click here to watch video
Those referred to GMC Jammu, were identified as Ruhi Dass (45), son of Mangu Ram of Samba, his wife Pooja Devi (40), Nisha Devi (32), wife of Balbir Chand of Jatwal, Samba and Gharo Devi (50, wife of Mohan Lal of Resham Ghar, Jammu.
Those undergoing treatment at District Hospital Udhampur, were identified as Surinder Kumar (38) son of Sham Lal of Resham Ghar Jammu, Poli Devi (30) wife of Karam Chand of Samba, Sunita Devi (45) wife of Sham Lal of Jammu, Rohit Kumar (21) son of Vijay Kumar of Jammu, Godawari Devi (40) wife of Chanu Lal of Jammu, Neelu Devi (25) daughter of Mohan Lal of Resham Ghar Jammu, Bharti Devi daughter of Vijay Kumar of Jammu, Arshiti Devi (15) daughter of Ravi Kumar of Jammu, Shashi Devi (30) wife of Dev Raj of Samba, Shivangi Devi (27) wife of Surinder of Jammu, Sachin Kumar (22) son of Baldev Raj of Samba, Sunil Kumar (28) son of Baldev Raj of Samba and Sanjay Kumar (25) son of Dev Raj of Samba.
All the accident victims were on way to home after performing Darshan at Machail Mata temple in Kishtwar.
