BJP expels Ladakh VP

LEH, Aug 17: BJP Ladakh UT president Phunchok Stanzin has expelled party’s vice president Nazir Ahmed from primary membership of the party with immediate effect.
Nazir was relieved of all responsibilities as UT vice president and his primary membership revoked after his son Manzoor Ahmed eloped with a Buddhist girl.
“The incident is unacceptable to all religious communities in Ladakh as it jeopardizes communal harmony and unity among the people of the region,” a Circular issued by the BJP, said.
