JAMMU, Aug 18: City Police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered 10 grams of heroin from his possession.
“A team of Police Post Residency Road led by SDPO North Sunil Kesar, who was assisted by SHO Police Station City SI Mohinder Singh and Incharge Police Post Residency Road PSI Darshan Singh, while on patrolling duty rounded up a suspected person who was going towards Gandoo Di Chawni from Prem Nagar,” a Police spokesman said.
He said during search, 10 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of accused identified as Salman Nissar son of Nissar Ahmed Mir, resident of Sonawar (Dal Gate, Srinagar).
“In this regard, a case FIR Number 41/23 U/S 8/21/22 of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station City and further investigation started,” the spokesman added.
