PNB opens its 113th ATM at Bari Brahmana

JAMMU, Dec 24:  Continuing its proactive role in providing ”Everywhere Anywhere Banking” to the customers, Punjab National Bank with its initiative to reach out to the unbanked areas of the State opened its 113th ATM at Bari near Bari Brahmana today.
The ATM was inaugurated by   Mohd Latif Mir, Deputy General Manager, Circle Head J&K Operations who was accompanied by Dy Commandant Somnath Maharana of 38 Bn CRPF.
Speaking at the inauguration function, Mir said that large population of this area was out of the reach to banking services and it was the demand of the local population of the area for opening of ATM in this area.
Through this new ATM, people of villages Bari, Badhori, Raya, Suchhnani, Mean Charakan, Smailpur will get unmatched techno-driven services like ATM cum Debit Card, Anytime Anywhere banking who otherwise had to travel to other areas for banking services, he informed.  Through this ATM, not only villagers but Defense  of CRPF will get services at their doorsteps, he added.
Mir further informed that through technology driven innovative approach, the Bank has enabled to offer cost-effective banking products at the door step of the customers.
Deputy Comdt Somnath Maharana expressed happiness at PNB`s initiatives and efforts in bringing state of art technology at their door steps which can be easily used by the villagers as well as defense personals for withdrawing cash or generating mini statement of the accounts.
R V S Jasrotia, Chief Manager Circle Office Jammu, Lt Col Rashid Ahmed, Sarpanch Gulam Nabi of Bari Panchayat, Sarpanch Balwant Singh of Smailpur Panchayat, Sarpanch Swaran Singh of Mean Charakan Panchayat, Sarpanch Jagdish Singh of Badhori Panchayat  and large number of villagers were present at the function.
