IRP collaborates JKAP to organize Tiranga Rally

JAMMU, Aug 19: As part of series of events under the campaign ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh, Maati Ko Naman, Veeron Ko Vandan’, a road march was flagged off here today from Battalion Headquarters IRP-14th Bn and it concluded at Environmental Park, Sidhra.
Anita Sharma, SSP, Commandant IRP-14th Bn Channi Himmat accompanied by Balwant Raj Bhagat, SP, Dy Commandant JKAP 8th Bn, Ramesh Lal, Dy.SP IRP 14th Bn along with other officers and officials in collaboration with JKAP 8th Bn organized the road march.
Aim of organizing this Tiranga Rally was to remember sacrifices of our brave hearts who sacrificed their lives for our better tomorrow.
Participants in the rally chanted ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Mataram’ slogans and displayed banners on themes ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh, Maati Ko Naman, Veeron Ko Vandan’.
The rally witnessed overwhelming and enthusiastic participation from all the police personnel and covered around 7 km distance. Thereafter, a ‘Panch Pran’ pledge ceremony was organized to commemorate and pay tributes to ‘Veers & Luminaries’ who sacrificed their lives to uphold the integrity and sovereignty of the Nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Commandant IRP-14th Bn expressed her gratitude and thanked all the participants who made this event a big success.
