REASI, Aug 19: A week-long historical Kousar Nag Yatra along with Charri Mubarak was flagged off from here early this morning with traditional fervour and gaiety in presence of prominent citizens of Reasi and the district administration.

A lot of enthusiasm and high spirits were visible on the faces of numerous pilgrims hailing not only from Reasi but also from Jammu, Katra, Talwara Mahore and Chassana who were constantly chanting bhajans and had queued up very early morning to become a part of this historical Kousar Nag Yatra despite challenging weather conditions.
The Kousar Nag Yatra along with historical Charri Mubarak was organized successfully in the past due to which the popularity and awareness about Reasi-Chassana route gained huge momentum and a lot of public hailing from different parts of the State expressed willingness to join Kousar Nag Yatra this year.
Kousar Nag is one of the highest altitude springs of Kashmir situated at 30 km from Aharbal. The spring shimmers with fresh, crystal clear glacial waters and covers an area of 5 km in length and two and a half kilometres in breadth.
