Don’t need lessons on secularism from others: NC

JAMMU, Aug 19: Provincial NC president Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta has claimed that NC always remained a great advocate of secularism and will continue to do so.
“We don’t need lessons on secularism from others and in the forthcoming election people of Jammu have made their mind to teach BJP and its cronies a lesson,” he said during a joining function here today wherein prominent social activists from Bani joined NC and pledged to work towards strengthening the bonds of amity.
Welcoming the new entrants into the Party, Gupta expressed hope that all right minded people will come together to strengthen secular forces to foil the machinations of divisive elements creating wedge between various segments of the society.
Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Provincial NC secretary Jammu also spoke on the occasion.
Those who joined NC were Rattan Chand Kalandri, Ajit Kumar Sharma, Puneet Gupta and Ragunandan.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Pardeep Bali, Provincial secretary, Bimla Luthra, Ex-MLA, Vijay Lochan, chairman SC Cell and others.
