REASI, Aug 20: District Police Reasi today booked and detained one more notorious drug peddler of Reasi under PSA and lodged him in District Jail Amphalla, Jammu.
Suraj son of Indru resident of village Serwad (Katra), who was involved in drug peddling case registered under FIR Number 69/2022 U/S 8/20/25 NDPS Act and FIR Number 189/2023 U/S 8/20 NDPS ACT of Police Station Katra was detained under PIT NDPS Act under the orders of Divisional Commissioner Jammu dated 19-08-2023.
In view of his continuous involvement in drug peddling and to save the health and welfare of the people, his dossiers for PSA were prepared on the directions of SSP Reasi Amit Gupta and after getting necessary detention order from the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Suraj was arrested by a team of Police Station Katra led by Inspector Nishant Gupta and SDPO Katra Surinder Singh under the supervision of Vipan Chandran (SP Katra). He was lodged in District Jail Amphalla, Jammu.
