Party holds meeting with councilors

JAMMU, Aug 23: BJP is committed to the welfare of the masses and is the only party which has stood by the public through every thick and thin, said Ravinder Raina, president, J&K BJP while addressing a meeting organized by party at its Trikuta Nagar, headquarters, here, today.
J&K BJP general secretary (Org.), Ashok Koul, former Dy. CM, Kavinder Gupta, general secretaries, Vibodh Gupta, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, Mayor, Rajinder Sharma and Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria also addressed the meeting.
Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) councillors, BJP district presidents and Mandal presidents participated in the meeting.
Ravinder Raina, while addressing the meeting, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the only party that is committed to the masses at the ground level. He said that the BJP has always taken the core issues at every hierarchy leading the masses from the front and has secured the results in the favour of common masses. He asked the party leaders to initiate ground preparations for the upcoming JMC elections to be held under Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) elections in Jammu & Kashmir.
He, while stressing on maintaining of discipline during the political working in the masses, said party discipline is cornerstone of BJP and key to success.
Ashok Koul, in his address, asked the party leaders to commit themselves for the ongoing “Voter Chetna Mahaabhiyan” initiated by the BJP on the national level, which will continue up to August 30 in the first phase and from 15 September to 31 January in the second phase. He asked them to reach every corner in their vicinity in every Ward to the ongoing process of voter deletion, addition and modification to update the voter lists in a correct manner while ensuring no eligible voter to be left behind.
He further asked the councillors to conduct mass contact programmes and public meets. He also asked the councilors to plan and execute the programmes for the ‘Vishesh Sampark Abhiyaan’ to be conducted on 25th and 26th of August.
