Srinagar, Aug 23: Police today busted a prostitution racket by arresting 5 persons in Nowgam area of Srinagar district.
A police official said that based on the information provided by citizens, two local females and two men were arrested for running a prostitution racket from a rented building of a Sarpanch at Shan Mohalla, Nowgam.
He said that a case FIR No. 131/2023 under Sections 3,4,8 of Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act) has been registered at Nowgam Police Station.
