JAMMU, Aug 24: The people of Jammu and Kashmir have become the victim of corrupt practices perpetuated by successive regimes headed by the NC, PDP, and Congress parties.
This was stated by Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP vice president while speaking at the redressal camp held at Pt Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan in Kacchi Chawni, here , today. Ramesh Gupta, BJP spokesman Jammu district and Parveen Kerni, its president of East Mandal were also present.
Sethi expressed his concern regarding the corrupt culture that has been deeply ingrained within the region’s political landscape for more than 70 years. He emphasized the adverse impact of these practices on the lives of the common citizens, leading to significant hurdles in their day-to-day existence.
Sethi acknowledged the steps taken by the current Jammu and Kashmir Government to enhance transparency in governance, citing the widespread implementation most of Government services on online mode, aiming to bring accountable and transparent administration.
He mentioned that before 2014 when consistent power supply was a rarity, as opposed to the current scenario wherein people are getting stable and quality power supply. He appreciated the people of Jammu for their sincere efforts in paying their power bills and urged the Government to clear every single doubt of people with regard to smart meters.
Sethi assured the public that the BJP stands firmly with the citizens and their concerns. He urged anyone who encounters inflated power bills after the installation of smart meters to immediately approach the designated Nodal Officer appointed by the Power Department. He also asked people despite this if any one facing any issue he/she should approach the BJP without any hesitation.
Sethi emphasized the party’s dedication to upholding the welfare of the people and pledged to continue working diligently to resolve their grievances.
A diverse range of issues were raised by various deputations, seeking resolution on matters related to ration, education, pension, PHE, PDD, revenue, power, water scarcity, roads, development, and personal issues.
Sethi after hearing to the problems presented by the people, immediately took them up with the concerned officials of the departments stressing for early resolution so that the people are not made to suffer.
