Conduct DPC of Agri technocrats: JKATA

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Aug 24: The Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA) has demanded conduct of DPC of their cadre as early as possible as they are facing stagnation.
In a meeting of the Association held here today under the leadership of its president Dr Surinder Radotra, the members discussed the issue related to the publication of final seniority and conduct of promotion of AEAs to JAEO and regularising  incharge JAEO as confirmed JAEO (both regions).
Radotra said that publication of final seniority of AEA at UT level and conduct of DPC of AEA’s immediately, administration  non-seriousness and non willingness timely conduct of DPC  of incharge JAEO w.e.f 2017 (75! quota for Graduates/ Post- graduate technocrats under SRO 442)  represents all Junior Agriculture Extension Officers (JAEOs) and Agriculture Extension Officers (AEAs) of the department.     He said JKATA shall not hesitate to take this fight on roads. After confirmation of 147 employees substantively as JAEOs, nearly 285 AEAs in both regions (Kashmir & Jammu each) were elevated as JAEOs but on incharge basis. These JAEOs (incharge) may be confirmed as JAEOs substantively with retrospective effect to be determined from the due date i.e the date of confirmation of above referred 147 JAEOs, April 2017.
It is further requested that a common seniority list at UT Level, as per regularized/date of confirmation as a AEA 2014, 2015, 2016, may be prepared and notified in a time bound manner for the purposes of promoting JAEOs to the post of AEOs.
JKATA urged Lieutenant Governor  Government Manoj Sinha, Shailender kumar  Principal secretary to Government Agriculture Productions Department to personality intervention  into the matter.
