POONCH, Aug 24: One person lost his life while five others were injured in an incident of electrocution at Aalapir in Poonch today.

Official sources said that the incident happened when a group of people was digging a grave for a deceased person namely Mohd Khursheed. “ Six people were shifting a portable shed from one place to another. During this process it touched with high tension 11 KV line passing over the area, leaving one dead and five others injured.
Station House Officer Poonch inspector Deepak Pathania said that the dead body of deceased was handed over to the family for last rites after performing all the legal formalities, while all five injured were shifted to Raja Sukhdev Singh Hospital Poonch for treatment.
Medical Superintendent Poonch, Dr Zulfiqar Ali said that all injured were treated here and kept under observation but their condition was stable.
