BJP Tourism Cell delegation calls on Jt Director

JAMMU, Aug 25: A delegation of Tourism Cell of BJP’s J&K Unit called on Joint Director Tourism, Jammu today and submitted a memorandum. Led by convenor of the Tourism Cell, Ravi Bakshi alongwith Co- Convener, JKUT Parvesh Bali and Nitin Bagga, Co- Convener District Jammu, the team submitted a charter of demands to the Joint Director Tourism, Jammu, Sunaina Sharma today and discussed various issues related to tourism promotion in the region. During meeting, the Cell leaders stressed on the development of Mansar, Surinsar and Sanasar Lakes besides Baba Pedh Dev Sthan and enhance/repair infrastructure and keep proper cleanliness at these tourist places of Jammu region. They further demanded promotion of tourism in beautiful areas like- Pancheri, Sankri Devta, Sudhmahadev, Mantalai, Latti Dhuna, Basantgarh, Gandh Top and Ramnagar area so that more and more tourists could be attracted to these areas and economy of these areas is uplifted. The meeting also highlighted the need to preserve and promote historical and sacred places like Pandav Gufa (Akhnoor) and Ramnagar Fort. The Joint Director assured to take up issue with higher authorities and ensure measures for the promotion of tourism in these areas.
