Srinagar, Aug 25: Acting tough against the persons involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police today seized four vehicles and arrested four persons in Baramulla.
A Police party under the supervision of SDPO Pattan Mohd Nawaz led by SHO seized two tractors and arrested their drivers identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Ganie, son of Ab Salam and Javid Ahmad Sheikh son of Gh Mohiuddin, both residents of Mehmoodpora, Pattan for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Mehmoodpora Pattan.
Similarly, Police under the supervision of SDPO Tangmarg Imtiaz Ahmed assisted by SHO Kunzer, seized two vehicles and arrested their drivers as Firdous Ahmad Malla son of Ab Rehman resident of Hardu Aboora & Rameez Ahmad Shah son of Ab Raheem resident of Batpora Kunzer involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Batpora Kunzer.
“Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of the law have been registered in respective police stations and investigation has been initiated,” police said.
