Drone hits apartment building in Russia’s Kursk

Moscow, Aug 27 : A drone crashed into an apartment building in the Russian city of Kursk overnight, blowing out windows on some floors but causing no injuries, Kursk Region Governor Roman Starovoit said on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Ukraine tried to attack Russian territory with aircraft-type drones, adding that Russian air defense systems shot down two drones over the Bryansk and Kursk regions.
“According to preliminary information, a drone crashed at night into an apartment building on Karl Marx Street in Kursk. Windows were blown out on some floors. The blast wave also damaged several windows in the building of the engineering faculty of the Kursk State Agricultural Academy on Karl Marx Street,” Starovoit wrote on Telegram.
The strike did not cause a fire and none of the residents were injured, the governor said, adding that all emergency services were at the scene, with the damage being estimated.
