JAMMU, Aug 27: With initiative of Union Ministry of Culture, under the aegis of president Arya Pratinidhi Sabha J&K, Arun Chowdhary along with Centre for Advanced Research on Development & Change, New Delhi, a colorful cultural programme was held at Arya Samaj Rehari Colony here today.
Students from many government and private schools participated in the programme and spoke on the role of Swami Dayanand Saraswati in freedom movement of India under the title ‘Krantitirth’.
Chief spokesperson, Dr. Vikrant Sharma, Orthopedic surgeon threw light on contributions of Arya Samaj and Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati in freedom struggle of India.
Swami Sachhidanand Ji addressed the function online through goggle meet.
Arun Khanna Chairman Health and Sanitation Sub-Committee of JMC also spoke on the occasion while Jagdish Gupta, president Arya Samaj Rehari Colony presided over the function.
Patriotic songs were also sung by the students of DAV School Exchange Road and Arya Girls School Kachi Chawani.
The stage was handled by Dr. Pratibha Purandi.
After culmination of the programme, awards were distributed by the chief guest and other dignitaries to the students.
Arun Chowdhury presented vote of thanks and apprised the audience about various activities undertaken by Arya Pratinidhi Sabha and Arya Samajs of J&K.
