Two held with 2 kg Ganja-like- substance, 900 psychotropic capsules

JAMMU, Aug 28: Police in Rehari area here claimed to have caught hold of two drug peddlers besides recovering from their possession 2 kilograms of Ganja-like-substance and 900 psychotropic capsules.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Post Rehari led by SHO Pacca Danga, Inspector Sushil Sharma, assisted by incharge Police Post Rehari, PSI Anil Kumar, established a special naka near Petrol Pump at T Chowk Ambphalla.
At the naka, he said, two suspects identified as Sunil Kumar alias Sunny (24) of Housing Colony Udhampur, and Jatin (19) of Panipat, Haryana at present Paharganj, Katra, were rounded up for checking.
“During search of the suspects, 900 psychotropic capsules (Tramadol) and 2 kg Ganja-like-narcotic substance was recovered,” said the police spokesperson.
The accused were accordingly arrested and booked in case FIR number 112/2023 under Sections 8/20/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Pacca Danga.
Police are further investigating the matter.
Pertinently, the operation was conducted under the supervision of SDPO North, Sunil Kesar and overall supervision of SP North, Kulbir Chand Handa.
