ADGP Ladakh visits border areas in Eastern Ladakh

LEH, Aug 29: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Ladakh, Dr SD Singh Jamwal, visited forward areas of Galwan, Murgo, Burtse, Chhongthas, and Daulat Beig Olde (DBO) in eastern Ladakh on August 26 and 27, 2023.
He was accompanied by SSP Stanzin Nurboo, AIG (Provision) Sonam Dechen, Inspector T Dorjey and Inspector Mutuup Tashi of Police Headquarters Ladakh.
During his visit, the Head of the Ladakh Police, Dr SD Singh Jamwal, interacted with ITBP and Army personnel deployed at the border locations and lauded their spirit and commitment to duties in the harsh weather conditions.
He also paid tribute to the martyrs by laying wreaths on memorials at Murgo, BDO, and remembered the supreme sacrifice made by security personnel while defending their motherland.
A Ladakh Police team Jamwal was heading also installed and placed Ashoka Stambh at Daulat Beig Olde near DBO Advance Landing Ground memorial. There, he offered tribute to the martyrs along with the ITBP personnel deployed.
Dr Jamwal also enquired about the families of the jawans posted at Daulat Beig Olde and assured to take up their problems pertaining to policing and other administrative issues back home with respective States/UTs Government authorities.
He also ensured the jawans that he would take up their welfare issues and other matters with concerned authorities at an appropriate platform.
