REASI, Aug 30: Reasi Police today arrested drug peddler in Pouni area and recovered 120 grams of cannabis like narcotics from his possession.
The accused was travelling in an Alto car, bearing Registration number JK20A-8251, which was coming from Reasi towards Pouni and stopped at Marhi by a Police team from Police Station.
During checking, 120 gms of cannabis like substance wrapped in a white polythene was found in the dashboard of the vehicle. On questioning, the car driver, namely Ghulam, son of Qadir of Puria, Tehsil Pouni, District Reasi, was unable to give any satisfactory reply.
Thereafter all the recovered narcotic substance was seized and the accused was arrested on the spot.
In this connection, a case FIR number 59/2023, under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Pouni. The Police action was led by SHO Pouni, Inspr Purab Singh under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs Reasi, Neeraj Padyar
