JAMMU, Sept 2: Rotary Club Jammu Helping Hands donated water cooler and water purifier to Girls Higher Secondary School, City Chowk, Jammu.
Senior Superintendent of J&K Police, Sandeep Mehta was chief guest on the occasion while Joint Director (Tourism) Sunaina Mehta was the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, President of the Club, Karuna Gupta informed that such actions yield long-term change to create healthier communities by supplying clean water and sanitation facilities to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
SSP Sandeep Mehta apprised about his keenness to help the schools with the necessary tools to assist the children in their learning process and said that providing clean water is part of that.
Joint Director (Tourism) Sunaina Mehta informed that the children who drink plenty of water have improved concentration levels and ability to learn.
Accepting the water cooler on behalf of the school, Principal Saroj Bala, thanked Rotary Club of Jammu Helping Hands for providing water cooler and water purifier for the welfare of students and staff of the school.
Members of Rotary Club of Jammu Helping Hands, who were present on the occasion, included Sanjay Puri, Sunny Gupta, Davinder Madaan, Jatinder Mengi and others.
