CREDAI Bengal to organize 3rd edition of conference in Kolkata on Sep 4

Kolkata, Sep 2 :  Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI) Bengal, will organise its third edition of conference here on Monday.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has consented to preside over the conference, CREDAI said on Saturday.
“Private sector can play a pivotal role to cater the needs of growing demands of housing in the urban areas as the the rural populace migrates to urban centers and the government needs private partners in this sector,” opined CREDAI, Bengal President Sushil Mohta.
He said “Every year one million people shift to cities to avail better jobs, explore educational opportunities and avail healthcare facilities. The rise in income of middleclass is helping in a steady upward shift from lower income group to middle income group. Moreover, the overall rise in disposable income has enabled people to buy homes for their families as their first priority.
“These necessitate an accentuated pace of development in infrastructure in urban areas like roads, housing, educational institutes and healthcare facilities.” Mohta said.
He hoped the conference will bring all stakeholders from the state government, real estate companies, architects, planners, construction companies under one roof to facilitate this huge demand of
urbanization.
