RAMBAN, Sept 4: Police here today arrested two persons and recovered 15 gm heroin from their possession.
A team of cops from Police Station Ramban led by ASI Krishan Lal while on routine checking at Shan Palace stopped a car of Tata Tigor make bearing registration number JK19-6950 coming from Seri and moving towards Ramban.
During checking of the car 15 gm heroin was recovered.
In this regard, a case in FIR number 282/2023 Under Section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act got registered at Police Station Ramban.
Driver of the car and one more person sitting with him were arrested and they disclosed their identities as Baljeet Singh, son of Raj Gopal Singh, resident of Suligam Marrog, Tehsil and District Ramban and Mohd Arif, son of Mohd Saleem Gujjar, resident of Govindpura Maitra, Tehsil and District Ramban.
Both persons were taken into police custody and the vehicle was seized.
The investigation of the case was going.
The recovery was affected by a police party under the command of Inspector Nayeem Ul Haq, SHO Ramban under the supervision of Om Parkash, DySP Hqrs Ramban, Gourav Mahajan Addl. SP Ramban with the overall supervision of SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma.
