Students protest as GHSS Lander lying headless

UDHAMPUR, Sept 4: The students of Government Higher Secondary School, Lander in Pancheri tehsil held a strong protest and block the road of Lander to Udhampur against severe shortage of teachers including Principal of the School.
The students of the Higher Secondary School Lander alleged that there was shortage staff moreover the post of Principal was lying vacant since long. The studies of the students have been badly affected while the UT Administration has shut its eyes. The District Administration despite several representation seems to be non-serious over the issue.
They claimed that they will not go to the school till the Education department provides teachers/ lecturers.
The parents who also joined the protest said that Lander Higher Secondary School is working without Principal and total one lecturer and three teacher are presently working in the Govt. HSS. The School is without Lecturers of Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Sociology, Zoology, History, Urdu and Dogri subjects.
The protestors alleged that due to the shortage of staff in the school, the students are facing manifold problems to get their queries solved pertaining to their subjects. They said that there is no proper sitting arrangement in the school as well.
