DC Rajouri resolves bottlenecks hampering execution of developmental works

RAJOURI, Sept 5: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal today addressed critical issues hampering the progress of various developmental projects across the district at a meeting of stakeholder departments. He also conducted a comprehensive review of progress of work on Rajouri-Thannamandi-Surankote road project in a separate meeting.
The meeting emphasized the importance of overcoming obstacles related to forest clearance, land compensation, and other bottlenecks affecting these vital initiatives.
In his opening remarks, DC Vikas Kundal underlined the paramount significance of adhering to environmentally responsible development practices, especially concerning forest clearance. He stressed the need for collaborative efforts among stakeholders to ensure minimal ecological impact during the execution of these projects.
The meeting witnessed the active participation of officers, including DFO Rajouri, Arshdeep Singh; ADC Koreranka, Surinder Mohan Sharma; ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar; ADC Nowshera Kartar Singh; ADC Kalakote Krishan Lal; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; ACP Sheraz Chowhan; SE PWD Rajouri vicram Singh; Xen PWD(R&B) Rajouri Sardar Khan, Xen PMGSY Rajouri, Shahid Chowdhary .
Meanwhile, the District Development Commissioner reviewed the progress of construction work on the Rajouri-Thannamandi-Surankote road project. The assessment took place during a pivotal meeting held with key stakeholders including DDC Member Thannamandi Qayoom Mir; DDC Member Sain, Abdul Rasheed; OC BRO 58 RCC, Major Manju Nath; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; AC Defence, Saleem Qureshi; SDM Thanamandi shafiq mir; DMO Naseeb choudary and Tehsildars, demonstrating a concerted effort towards the project’s success.
The 33 kilometer Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote road project is being upgraded, with 18 kilometers already blacktopped and the wet mix macadamization phase successfully completed on 25 kilometers.
The Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal, underscored the paramount importance of adhering to prescribed construction specifications to ensure the longevity and utility of the road. He further issued a directive to the pertinent departments to expedite the ongoing construction work while upholding the highest quality standards.
