JAMMU, Sept 5: The Department of Tourism and Travel Management at the Central University of Jammu hosted an orientation program for its newly admitted MBA (Tourism & Travel Management) students.
The event served as a platform to introduce aspiring professionals to the multifaceted world of tourism and travel, acquaint them with faculty members and showcase the abundant resources and facilities dedicated to nurturing their academic and personal growth. The orientation program commenced with a welcome address by Dr Bharti Gupta, Senior Assistant Professor, following which Dr Ranjeet Kumar Raman, Head of the Department, delivered an informative presentation, offering insights into the program, department, and university. Dr Raman shared his perspectives on the immense potential of the tourism and travel domain, emphasizing its substantial contribution to global economies.
Dr Amit Gangotia, Senior Assistant Professor, provided a clear path for students, underscoring the transformative career prospects within Tourism and Travel Management. Dr Mahendra Singh, Associate Professor, spoke about fostering unity and enthusiasm among the incoming MBA (Tourism & Travel Management) students, emphasizing the importance of camaraderie. Rahul Thakur, Assistant Professor, emphasized the significance of digital skills in the field of Tourism and Travel Management. He underscored the digital proficiency required in today’s rapidly evolving landscape and offered guidance to students on harnessing this essential skill set.
