JAMMU, Sept 6: A drug peddler was arrested with 2.5 kilograms of Ganja from Chowk Chabutra area here today, officials said.
During routine naka checking, a team of Police Station Pacca Danga led by SDPO North Sunil Kesar assisted by SHO Pacca Danga Inspector Sushil Kumar and incharge Police Post Chowk Chabutra, PSI Anil Kumar rounded up a suspect, they said.
During search of the suspect, identified as Antrayami Nayak of Odisha at present Pakki Dhakki, Jammu, 2.5 kilograms of Ganja was recovered, officials said.
Accordingly, the accused has been booked in case FIR number 116/2023 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and further investigation taken up.
