JAMMU, Sept 7: Arnia Police today arrested a bootlegger along with 80 bottles of illicit liquor.
“Acting on information that one person is selling illicit liquor in the area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Arnia, a police team led by SHO Arnia Inspector Deepak Katoch raided the suspected location and rounded up one suspected person namely Qeemati Lal son of Kaka Ram, resident of Ward No 7 (Arnia),” a Police spokesman said.
He said during search, 80 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from the possession of the accused. “In this regard, case FIR Number 64/2023 U/S 48-A Act was registered at Police Station Arnia and the accused arrested,” the spokesman said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
