Samba police arrests gang rape accused within 24 hours

SAMBA, Sept 8: Samba police has arrested gang-rape accused within 24 hours after commission of heinous crime in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Ramgarh.
The arrested accused have been identified as Suresh Kumar alias Babu son of Daljeet Singh alias Ashoka of tehsil Ramgarh district Samba, Karandeep Singh alias Bunty, son of Swaran Singh alias Shama of tehsil Ramgarh district Samba and Pankaj Targotra, son of Ajeet Paul of tehsil Ramgarh district Samba.
The arrests were made on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Samba Benam Tosh.
A case FIR No.53/2023 U/S 457/363/376-D IPC, 3/4 POCSO Act was registered at Police Station (PS) Ramgarh and investigation is underway.
The accused have been arrested by the Investigating Officer (IO) Inspector, Sham Lal under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur, Rohit Kumar and Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Benam Tosh said that police is taking prompt action against culprits of crime against women in Samba district and those who commit crime against women are being immediately arrested after collection of evidence without giving them time to escape.
