Srinagar, Sept 9: Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Athar Aamir Khan has directed the anti-encroachment and enforcement wings to check the building permission and registration of all the commercial establishments in the city.
The order issued by the Commissioner, says that as per law any commercial establishment can run in Srinagar city only in a building which has a commercial building permission from the competent authority and only after getting the registration of the establishment from the Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
“Now therefore, it is hereby ordered that the Anti-Encroachment and Enforcements wings of Srinagar Municipal Corporation to visit and check the building permission/registration of commercial establishments in the city and ensure necessary action for enforcement as per law,” the order reads.
