SAMBA, Sept 10: Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh today presided over police, public meeting at Village Bara in the jurisdiction of Police Post Supwal, Police Station Samba, which was attended by a large number of people including Panches, Sarpanches, Lambardars, retried officers, ex-servicemen, noted social activists and other prominent persons of the village and adjoining areas.
Those who spoke on the occasion on behalf of the public were Ex-Sarpanch Omkar Nath, Naib Sarpanch Monu Sharma, Panch Shakti Parkash Mangotra, Panch Vijay Kumar, Panch Girdhari Lal, Lambar Kulwant Singh, retired police officer Gulzar Singh and prominent persons inlcuidng PRI members.

Speaking on the occasion, SSP Samba Benam Tosh said called for eradicating the menace of corruption saying it is imperative that the discussions & discourses on the subject should be continued and more and more people should come forward to throw light on the ill-effects of corruption. Benam Tosh further said that present JK UT dispensation is of integrity and transparency and complaint, if there is any, against the unscrupulous elements should be brought to the notice of the concerned higher ups for appropriate action against him. He exhorted upon the people to fight against corruption with dogged determination and wipe it out, as it is one of the major blots on the society next only to militancy & drug menace.
