JAMMU, Sept 11: Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria dedicated the road linking Shri Gurudwara Sahib Ekta Vihar in RS Pura-Jammu South constituency to people. The construction work of lane and drains was done under the supervision of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). The local residents expressed gratitude for fulfilling their long standing demands and said that the Congress party had earlier misled about the development works in the area. Now, due to the efforts of Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria, a lot of works are being done in our area.
Addressing the people, Deputy Mayor said that this was a long pending demand of the local as the lane and drains in the area were in a dilapidated condition for a long time and the residents had to face inconvenience while going to Shri Gurudwara Sahib from this pathway. He said that JMC is continuously working to provide better development to the people while efforts are also going on to make Jammu a clean and smart city. Deputy Mayor said that development is the priority of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and the administration under the leadership of Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha is committed to provide all-round development in every sector, so that the last person standing in the queue benefits.
The Deputy Mayor requested the public to keep the lane and drain clean as it is their property now. He said that it is the responsibility of the local people of the area to ensure that Government property is not damaged by any person. Later, Baldev Singh Billawaria also met the local residents and listen their common issues regarding proper cleanliness, installation and improvement of LED street lights in left out areas and other related matters.
The Deputy Mayor assured that all their genuine issues will be taken up on priority basis. The people of the area also assured full support to BJP in the upcoming elections. On this occasion, Divisional president, Ranjit Singh, Rakesh Sangral, Om Nath, Harbhajan Singh, Maninder Singh, Kulbir Singh, Rinku Singh, Nikish Bhasin, Manjeet Singh, Govinder Singh, Captain Roop Singh, Raghu Singh were also present.
