JAMMU, Sept 11: Provincial Power Employees Union (PPEU) has demanded that various cadres of Power employees facing stagnation be accorded much delayed promotions.
In a meeting of the PPEU held here today under the chairmanship of Shakti Gupta in presence of its president, Sanjeev Bali and president Young PPEU, Tarun Gupta, the members discussed various pending issues of the Power employees.
While speaking on the occasion, the Union chairman demanded withdrawal of salary of the employees/ workers on first day of every month. Gupta further demanded that DPC of each and every cadre including Technician –I, II, III & IV, driver, clerical, temporary daily wagers and permanent daily wagers be conducted soon.
He said all the PDD employees, whether serving or retired, be provided free electricity as assured by the then Government during February 2005.
Those who attended the meeting included- Sat Paul, Anay Gupta, Amar Bharti, Bharat Bhushan, Suresh Goswami, Ram Lal and Kumod Sharma.
