Public demands heli-service from Dudu

DUDU, Sept 12: Annual Yatra to Kailash Kund on Seoj Dhar was flagged off from Vasuki Nag Temple at Dudu town by the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Kulraj Singh.
A large number of devotees from Dudu, Basantgarh, Latti, Sudh Mahadev, Chenani, Mantalai, Majori and Ram Nagar area joined the Yatra. They assembled at historic Vasuki Nag temple at Dudu and from there, they started their on-foot pilgrimage to Kailash Kund on the higher reaches of Seoj Dhar on Monday. It is said that this lake on Seoj Dhar is the origin of rivers- Tawi and Ujh. It takes two days to reach Kailash Kund from Dudu base camp.
Sub Divisional Magistrate, Dudu, Kulraj Singh flagged off the Yatra in presence of Sub Divisional administration and prominent people of the area. On this occasions, DDC Members -Pinky Devi, Rakesh Bodhi and Subash Kumar; BDC Member Darshan Kumar, Tehsildar Latti Paramdeep Singh, CEO of local RR Battalion, Commanding officer CRPF 187 Bn, Inspector Zulfkar Ali from PS Latti, Chowki officer Dudu, president Kailash Kund Yatra Committee Takhur Hans Raj, Sarpanchs- Dev Raj, Krishan Singh, Makhan Manhas, Darshana Devi, Romesh Chander-Jakhed, Kasturi Lal Gupta-Latti and many others were present on the occasion.
PRIs extended gratitude to Dr Jatinder Singh, Union Minister in PMO, Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and District administration Udhampur for making this Yatra successful.
They demanded helicopter service from base camp Dudu to Kailash Kund from next year and proper road connectivity for this religious place as work on the road under PMGSY was going on at very slow pace.
