Kabul Bukhari makes Bollywood debut

Srinagar, Sept 12: Kashmiri musician and singer Kabul Bukhari made his debut in the Bollywood film “Lafzon Mein Pyaar” (2023), which was released last month.
In a statement issued by his management, Kabul was quoted as saying, “I have composed and sung the songs of the film. It was an honor to work with the dedicated professionals of Bollywood.”
Kabul mentioned that he got this opportunity through the film’s producer, Ashok Sawhny ‘Sahil’. “He has been following my work for a long time, and he approached me personally to compose his penned lyrics, and I agreed to work,” he said.
The 32-year-old singer’s song ‘Fida Hone Ka Waqt Aaya’ from the film has received tremendous love from fans in Kashmir.
Hailing from the remote Karnah area of Kupwara district, Kabul referred to it as a ‘big opportunity’. “It was great to work on a Bollywood film with top actors. I also got to learn a lot,” he added.
Directed by Dhiraj Mishra and Raja Randeep Giri, the film’s star cast includes Anita Raj, Zarina Wahab, Lalit Parimoo, Mir Sarwar, among others.
