UDHAMPUR, Sept 12: In a tragic incident, a young girl died after being stung by poisonous bees at Kuh Nalla along Ramnagar road, here this morning.
The deceased was identified as Sindhu Devi alias Ashu (15), daughter of Mohan Singh, resident of Kuh Nalla, Roundomail Udhampur. She along with her neighbor Atul Singh (14), son of Arjun Singh of Kuh Nalla, was on way to school when bees attacked them.
Local rushed the duo to District Hospital Udhampur where Sindhu Devi died during treatment.
Following death of the girl, family members of the deceased and some locals alleged negligence of doctors and they protest in front of District Hospital Udhampur.
After getting the information about the protest, Tehsildar Udhampur Jai Singh along with SHO Udhampur, Raghuvir Singh and SHO Women Cell Isha Mahajan rushed to the spot and pacified the protester assuring necessary action after investigation into the case.
According to Superintendent of the District Hospital Udhampur, B L Chowdhery, windpipe of the girl had got blocked due to bee stings and doctors tried their best to save her life but failed.
