PSC Lecturers call on Spl Secy SED, apprise her of their issues

JAMMU, Sept 12: A delegation of All J&K Plus 2 PSC Lecturers’ Association, Jammu Province, led by its President Manjeet Chib, called on Kanta Devi, Special Secretary School Education Department, at Civil Secretariat Jammu and apprised her of some issues of the cadre.
The delegation informed the officer that there are genuine cases having substantial grounds which need kind consideration for modification in the recent transfers.
According to a handout by the Association, Kanta Devi assured positive consideration and modification against the vacancies to be created shortly by the elevation of Sr Lecturers as look after Principals & deputation of academicians to SCERT and associated DIETs.
The delegation informed the Special Secretary that posts in SCERT and DIETs have become vacant thus hampering the smooth functioning of these institutions and implementation of policies and programmes. Since SCERT and DIETs are the prime agencies of implementing NEP 2020, eligible and competent academicians must be deputed there on priority basis, it added.
Those who were part of the delegation, included Rishi Manhas, Sandeep Sharma, Sanjeev Gupta, Amit Kumar, Dhenveer Sing and others.
