DODA, Sept 14: One woman was killed and seven others including five children were injured when a JCB machine they were travelling-in fell into a gorge in the mountainous Kashore Jodhpur area here today.
As per official sources eight persons were injured and were shifted to GMC Doda for treatment.
Later on an injured lady succumbed to her injuries and died. She was identified as Champa Devi, wife of Sanjeet Singh, resident of Jodhpur.
Other injured were Surekha Devi, 30, wife of Sanjay, resident of Itwas, Jodhpur; Mansvi Parihar, 5, daughter of Sanjay, resident of Itwas; Shriya Parihar, 4, daughter of Sanjay, resident of Itwas; Manik Thakur, 5, son of Rakesh Singh, resident of Itwas; Kasher Thakur, 4, son of Rakesh Singh, resident of Itwas Age and Manakesh Thakur, 5, son of Sanjeet Singh, resident of Itwas.
Driver of JCB Salman Butt was also injured.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
