JAMMU, Sept 14: The State Investigation Unit (SIU) today conducted raids at the houses of three Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of militants at Mahore and Poni areas of Reasi district.
The OGWs whose houses were searched include Sardar Din son of Amkalla, a resident of Khour, Mahore presently putting up at Aidhara Khour, Zubair Ahmed son of Mohd Hanief of Dehari, Pouni and Mohammad Shafi son of Abdul Gaffar R/o Dubri, Mahore, all in Reasi district.
The raids were conducted following reports that the OGWs were helping the militants in carrying out their activities and were also using different Apps from Android mobile phones.
They were also in touch with Pakistan-based terrorists and handlers with a view to revive militancy in Reasi district.
Raids were conducted after obtaining warrants from the court in the presence of Executive Magistrate.
During searches, the SIA teams recovered electronic gadgets, documents etc.
