UDHAMPUR, Sept 15: District Police Udhampur has booked and detained a notorious criminal under the J&K Public Safety Act (PSA) for his criminal activities on the detention orders issued by the District Magistrate Udhampur.
The accused namely Rafaqat Ali son of Mohd Shafique resident of Udhampur (near Devika Temple) was booked for his criminal activities in the area for which a number of cases had been registered against him in the Police Station Udhampur. The accused was notorious criminal and are continuously involved in a number of criminal activities.
He had become a threat to the peaceful atmosphere and was also posing great threat to the public peace and tranquility thereby forcing authorities to detain them under J&K Public Safety Act.
After getting necessary detention orders, Rafaqat Ali was arrested by the team of Police Station Udhampur.
