10 day function at Lakshmi Narayan Mandir on Ganesh Chaturathi from Sept 19

JAMMU, Sept 15: To make necessary arrangements for the forthcoming 10-day function of Shri Ganesh Chaturathi Mahotsav, a special meeting of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust Gandhi Nagar was held under the chairmanship of Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Trust president.
Trustees and special invitees along with S.C Rekhi, general secretary, Ramesh Thakur, V.K Abrol, Kapil Slathia and Tarun Gupta attended the meeting wherein it was decided to hold the celebrations in a big way.
The sub-committee consisting of Deepak Gupta, Prithvi Raj Vaid, Ved Verma, Ashok Khajuria, Kulbir Singh Chib, Kiran Rajput, Sumesh Damral, Krishan P. Gupta, Sandeep Singh and Parshant Sharma headed by K.B Magotra also attended the meeting.
During meeting it was decided to make the festival colourful and impressive.
A beautiful idol of Ganesh Ji will be installed at the temple by Head Pujari joined by other devotees on September 19, 2023 at 2 pm after beautifully decorating whole complex.
A handout stated that before the installation of idol, a colourful Kalash Yatra will be taken out on September 19 at 12.30 pm.
Maha Arti of Ganesha Ji will be conducted daily at 8 am in morning and 7.15 pm in evening till September 27, 2023.
On last day that is on September 28 after performing proper Puja Archana, the idol of Ganesha Ji will be taken to river Chenab at Jia Pota Ghat at Akhnoor in a colourful procession joined by large number of devotees for immersion ritual.
