UDHAMPUR, Sept 15: Udhampur Police today arrested a bike lifter and recovered a stolen bike on his disclosure.
Based on a complaint received from a person namely Brij Mohan son of Naresh Pal of Laddan (Udhampur) that his motorcycle bearing registration number JK14G- 4153 has been stolen by some unknown person from outside his house, a case FIR Number 474/2023 U/S 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Udhampur and search was started.
During the course of investigation, a team of Police Station Udhampur apprehended a suspect namely Sham Lal son of Bodh Raj of Ossu Khera (Udhampur), who on sustained questioning, confessed his involvement in theft of the bike.
The accused person was arrested and on his disclosure, the stolen bike was recovered while further investigation of the case was going on.
