JAMMU, Sept 15: Police in Kanachak area claimed today that they have arrested a bootlegger and recovered 50 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Station Kanachack led by SDPO Domana Vishal Shoor and assisted by SHO Kanachak Inspector Sandeep Singh Chib raided a suspected location and rounded up a suspected person.
During search of the suspect, he said, 50 bottles of illicit liquor of 180 ml each were recovered.
Accordingly the accused Balbinder Singh of Mishriwala has been arrested and booked under the relevant sections of the law and further investigation taken up.
