UDHAMPUR, Sept 17: A 50-year-old woman died this evening after she was struck by lightning at village Nalla Mallian in tehsil Ramnagar.
According to the report, a woman died after lightning struck her at village Nalla Mallian in forest area Ramnagar Tehsil.
This woman identified as Maya Devi wife of Karnail Singh Thakur resident of Nalla Mallian (Ramnagar) was grazing her domestic animals in forest area near her residence when she was struck by lightning.
The woman received critical injuries in lightning strike. She was immediately rushed to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar for medical treatment but she succumbed to her injuries on the way to the Hospital.
The body of the deceased was shifted to the mortuary room of the Hospital for autopsy while Ramnagar Police had taken cognizance of the matter.
