Bhalla, Mulla flay BJP for making ‘life of poor people miserable’

JAMMU, Sept 18: JKPCC working president, Raman Bhalla has said that it is the duty of people to fight the forces hell bent on taking the country towards autocracy.
While presiding over a joining function in Ward number 66 at Lower Roop Nagar, Bhalla said that people of J&K are well aware that Congress Governments have always stood for interests of the country and never hesitated to make sacrifices.
“We have provided education, healthcare and employment opportunities to all. When the country got independence, literacy level was around 16 per cent and now it is around 70 per cent. Who made the people literate? Who educated all doctors, engineers, scientists, teachers and lawyers all these years? Congress educated everyone including BJP leaders,” he maintained.
Former Ministers-Mulla Ram and Yogesh Sawhney; District rural president, Hari Singh Chib; IYC general secretary, Uday Bhanu Chib; JMC Councillor, Rajani Bala and former Councillor, Uttam Singh Chib were also present on the occasion in which NC Ward president, Mamta Khajuria and many other NC workers joined Congress today.
Bhalla claimed that victory of Congress in Assembly elections of Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh has created an awakening in the entire country against BJP government’s alleged efforts to distort Indian Constitution.
He called upon the people of J&K to support Congress in forming the government with an overwhelming majority.
Mulla Ram said that there was a huge cut in budget for Food Securities Act, framed for the poor men of the country as well as the PDS.
Yogesh Sawhney said that democracy in the country grew stronger due to untiring efforts of Congress.
District rural president, Hari Singh Chib said that Modi government was hell-bent on ruining democratic values of India.
He claimed that BJP is threatening to push country’s social structure and solidarity into danger.
Uday Bhanu Chib claimed that BJP has never been known for having faith in democratic process, institutions and values, nor do they believe in Indian Constitution.
